BI-VZD

An introductory course in machine learning with the classical contents: from decision trees to linear regression. All algorithms and methods are explained in an accessible way but still in detail (no black boxes!). As a by-product, the students will become familiar with Python machine learning and data packages (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn). Python is the primary tool used to apply the learned algorithms on real-world data in tutorial classes. Since winter semester 2022/2023, the name and code of the course will be changed to BI-ML1: Machine Learning 1.
