Current Director Lukáš Kačena will step down from his role as of 1 February 2026 to take up the position of Government Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence. Lenka Kučerová, the association’s founder and first director, will assume interim leadership of the organisation.

AI Awards 2025: Czech AI succeeds globally, transforms education, and strengthens safety
Prague, 5 December 2025 – The prestigious AI Awards 2025, celebrating the most significant achievements in artificial intelligence, were presented on 4 December 2025 at the Vzlet cultural centre in Prague. The fifth edition of the only expert awards in the Czech Republic dedicated exclusively to AI highlighted projects that demonstrate how artificial intelligence is reshaping education, research, public administration, and business. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Professor Hynek Heřmanský, an internationally recognized authority in speech recognition.
Interest in top-tier AI education is growing in the Czech Republic. The inter-university program prg.ai Minor now counts over a hundred graduates.

Popular AI basics course expanded with current topics and resources, Czech version adds tutorial videos
- press release - Elements of AI - a free online course on the basics of artificial intelligence - has been updated. The authors respond to last year's developments and the popularisation of AI tools like ChatGPT. Thanks to the national partner organisation prg.ai, the Czech version is among the first to offer new features and their localisation. At the same time, a series of accompanying videos are available to learners in Czech only, guided by researchers from the faculties of electrical engineering and information technology from CTU.
AI is attracting companies, prg.ai intends to meet demand with new partnership concept

The consulting company EY, the law firm KROUPAHELÁN and the pharmaceutical manufacturer Zentiva became partners of prg.ai in early 2023. What unites these at-first-glance different partners is that even if they don't have a business built around AI, they are best suited to be leaders in their industries in its adoption and use.
