Organizations representing industrial companies, technology firms, and research institutions across Central and Eastern Europe are, for the first time, establishing a joint position of Ambassador for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. Jan Kavalírek has been appointed to the role, with the goal of strengthening the CEE region’s voice in Brussels and advocating for reduced bureaucracy in the field of AI.

AI Awards 2025: Czech AI succeeds globally, transforms education, and strengthens safety
Prague, 5 December 2025 – The prestigious AI Awards 2025, celebrating the most significant achievements in artificial intelligence, were presented on 4 December 2025 at the Vzlet cultural centre in Prague. The fifth edition of the only expert awards in the Czech Republic dedicated exclusively to AI highlighted projects that demonstrate how artificial intelligence is reshaping education, research, public administration, and business. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Professor Hynek Heřmanský, an internationally recognized authority in speech recognition.
